Armenia and Bulgaria are beginning a feasibility study of two transport corridor projects, the two countries' top diplomats said on Friday.
The news was announced during a visit of Foreign Minister Eduard Nalbandyan to Sofia.
"The Silk Road and the transport corridor going under [sic!] Iran via Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and from there enters the territory of the EU in Bulgaria, [reaching] the Bulgarian ports of Burgas and Varna," the Bulgarian National Radio quotes Mitov as saying.
Nalbandyan noted he and Mitov had a "common approach" to transportation projects, adding he had discussed with his Bulgarian counterpart and other Bulgarian politicians prospects of bilateral partnership in the IT business, agriculture, and healthcare.
