Bulgarian Bus Overturns in Turkey, 11 Injured Including 2 Bulgarians
A bus with Bulgarian registration veered off its path, resulting in 11 injuries, two of which are reported to be severe
An attack on a gendarmerie command post in Turkey's southeastern Diyarbakir province by suspected PKK members on Wednesday has left at least three people dead and five wounded, Anadolu news agency (AA) reported.
"Members of the separatist terrorist organization attacked the Ozekli Gendarmerie Command Station in Sur district with rocket-propelled grenades and long barreled weapons on August 12, 2015, at 1.10 p.m. [1000 GMT], AA quoted the Turkish General Staff as saying in a statement.
The Turkish military usually refer to PKK as a "separatist terrorist organization".
A gendarmerie sergeant and two of the attackers suspected of being members of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) were killed in the attack.
According to hurriyetdailynews.com, four soldiers and a village guard were wounded. Two of the wounded soldiers were in critical condition.
Meanwhile, Iran said it has closed the Gurbulak-Bazargan crossing at its border with Turkey following a new attack on an Iranian truck in Turkey.
The biggest land crossing between the two countries has been closed in direction to Turkey upon Ankara’s request but remains open from Turkey to Iran, Iranian Road and Urban Planning Deputy Minister Davud Kesaverziyan said in a statement on Wednesday, according to hurriyetdailynews.com.
