The European Commission has given the thumbs up on a BGN 2.135 B operational program for Bulgaria, allocating the sum between 2014 an 2020, the European Commission has confirmed.
While in Parliament for a hearing, Prime Minister Boyko Borisov announced from the rostrum that this had been the first Bulgarian OP approved by the new Commission after it started to assess the programs of all member states in November.
The EU Commission hopes to have all OPs approved until mid-2015. Brussels gave the green light to thirty-nine of them last week, but none of them was Bulgarian.
In Borisov's words, the achievement should be credited to "the Patriotic Front, the Reformist BLoc and Alternative for Bulgarian Revival (ABV)", the government-related parties, but also to the opposition.
