After the Yantra river overflowed and flooded Bulgarian town of Veliko Tarnovo, more than 300 homes remain under water, Saturday.
The water levels of the Yantra and Belitsa rivers are already decreasing after the floods, however a number of landslides have been activated in the region, Nova Tv informed.
The Pass of the Republic, the mountain pass in the Balkan Mountains connecting Veliko Tarnovo and Gurkovo, is still closed for traffic.
At a meeting of the Crisis Staff in Veliko Tarnovo Municipality, the Mayor Daniel Panov claimed that the situation in the region has significantly improved compared to Friday, the municipal press center reports.
Power has been restored in all settlements in the municipality, however the state of emergency remains until all basic communications are recovered.
