Bulgaria’s Central Electoral Commission has already handled 85% of the voting protocols of Sunday's European Elections.

According to the latest results, GERB keeps its leading position with 30.66% of the votes, followed by Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) with 18.98%.

Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS) comes third with 17%. The party Bulgaria without Censorship has got 10.67% of the votes, the Reformist bloc – 6.36% and President (2002-2011) Georgi Parvanov's movement Alternative for Bulgarian Revival (ABV) – 4.04%.

The voting protocols have already been completely processed in the cities of Kyustendil, Lovech, Razgrad, Targovishte and Shumen.

GERB and the Reformist bloc will most likely take a total of 8 seats in the new European Parliament, however it is too early to say whether the distribution will be seven to one or six to two MEPs, Tsvetozar Tomov, a member and spokesman of the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) told Bulgarian Telegraph Agency, Monday.

Tomov claimed that by midday on Monday the results from the votes will show whether DPS will get three or four seats in the EU Parliament.
