Death Toll of Skopje Floods Rises to 22, 100 Injured
The body of a missing child has been found after the floods caused by torrential rains in Macedonia's capital Skopje, local media report.
A fire erupted at the ferro alloy production facility of the defunct Kremikovtzi steel mill near Sofia at around 10:00 a.m on Saturday.
A total of 8 fire engines, 1 chemical fire fighting vehicle, 4 water tank trucks and 1 medical aid vehicle of the Sofia-based Fire Safety and Civil Protection unit were dispatched to the site to battle the flames, the Interior Ministry reported.
The fire has destroyed oil-filled transformers at the plant.
The flames have been extinguished but the reasons for the accident and the exact extent of the damages are yet to be identified.
