Students from a high school in Bulgaria's second largest city of Plovdiv have shot with a self-made rifle in a classroom, fortunately injuring nobody.
The accident occurred on January 11 but the police authorities have not announced it publicly by now.
Several eight-grade students decided to bring the weapon into the school building so that they could protect themselves from the older boys' regular attacks against them.
It is not clear how the youngsters managed to even buy cartridges for the rifle.
The director of the Regional Education Inspectorate in Plovdiv Alexander Buzdrev said he heard about the accident on Wednesday morning and has immediately ordered the school's head to make a report on the case.
