Bulgaria: Banner Portraying Russian President Putin Hung on New York Bridge BGNES

A banner portraying Russian President Vladimir Putin and a slogan “Peacekeeper” was hung on the Manhattan Bridge in New York.

The police station received a signal at 14:45 local time and about half an hour later the banner was removed, reported BTA.

The New York police are investigating the case. There have been no arrests but the police are reviewing the security tapes from nearby surveillance cameras in order to identify a suspect.

Vladimir Putin’s birthday is on Friday.

On this occasion, deputies in the Russian Duma have decided to send him 450 roses. The decision was taken unanimously.
