Bulgaria's Prosecutor's Office will demand permanent arrest for the seven suspects still in custody, apprehended during the law enforcement operation in Pazardzhik on Tuesday, reports the BNT public broadcaster.

Among the arrested is the imam Ahmed Musa Ahmed who has a four-year prison sentence for “propagating anti-democratic ideology”.

According to BNT more than 30 witnesses were already questioned in connection to the investigation of propagation of the ideas of the Islamic State (IS).

The public broadcaster claims that some of Ahmed's followers had photos with the IS logo on their Facebook profiles and links to IS materials.

According to BNT, police also found photos of “people in strange and untraditional for the region attire who were walking around the streets”.
