The coach of Lazio, Edy Reja believes Bulgarian champions Ludogorets are now in a better position to qualify for the 1/8 finals of the Europa League.
"I congratulate Ludogorets for what they achieved. I cannot say they surprised us, since we knew of their qualities", Reja told the media after his team's 0:1 defeat in the first leg at Stadio Olimpico.
The Italian coach pointed out that the Bulgarian goalkeeper Vladislav Stoyanov was outstanding and had saved his team on a number of occasions.
"After this score, Ludogorets are now the favorites to progress. However, we have 90 more minutes in Sofia, in which things can be turned around", Reja concluded.
The two teams will meet again next Thursday in Sofia, with even a draw enough for Ludogorets to make the next round.
