Those demonstrators in Dobrich were a handful of people who were fulfilling political orders while thousands of others were there. So who should I apologize to? Of course, I would not sign a contract just out of stubbornness. But, I leave after me roads, infrastructure, daycare centers, museums, on a daily basis, you see and they now feel helpless. So, who should I apologize to? To those I gave hours of my precious time to listen to them at the Council of Ministers or to the thousands?"

Bulgarian Prime Minister, Boyko Borisov, commenting for the media Tuesday his weekend visit to the city of Dobrich where he told people, who oppose the exploring for shale gas in northeastern Bulgaria, to stop irritating him otherwise he would sign the contract out of "stubbornness." On Monday, the leader of the opposition Bulgarian Socialist Party, BSP, and former PM, Sergey Stanishev, demanded an apology from Borisov to his fellow citizens.
