Bulgarian tennis player Tsvetana Pironkova advanced to Wimbledon's quater-finals after eliminating France's Marion Bartoli 6-4, 6-4 at the prestigious tournament's round of sixteen.

Bulgaria's best female tennis player managed to defeat Bartoli, who was ranked 11 in the tournament, without losing a set, even though she was trailing at 0-3 at the beginning of the game.

Pironkova evened out to 4-4, after which she took the lead and went to win the first set. The second set was dominated by the Bulgarian player.

The game will give Pironkova 500 points for international ranking and will put her in the top 50 female players in the world.

On quarter-finals Pironkova is going to meet American star Venus Williams, who eliminated Australia's Jarmila Groth 6-4, 7-6.

This is Pironkova's best performance to date in a Grand Slam tournament.
