AB InBev Invests EUR 15 M in Bulgaria Unit

Anheuser-Busch InBev, which owns two breweries in Bulgaria, said it will invest EUR 15 M in equipment in its brewery in the southern town of Haskovo.

Representatives of the company refused to comment reports that Bulgaria is one of seven countries in Eastern and Central Europe, where it is considering divesting its operations.

Kamenitza AD, part of Interbrew, which was renamed to InBev after the merger of Interbrew and AmBev. is the second biggest brewery in Bulgaria.

Its diverse brand portfolio includes international Stella Artois and Becks and local Kamenitza, AstikA, Burgasko , Pleven, Slavena.
