In the historic heart of Rome, against the background of the Colosseum, "Discover Bulgaria" was held - one of the most significant cultural events of our country within the framework of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU.
A 3D mapping show, designed on the façade of the Roman Community building, tells how Bulgarian literature helped spread the Christianity among the Eastern Slavs, and the Ensemble Chinari led the audience of an exciting journey outlining the Bulgarian contribution to the European cultural identity.
The light show is made by the Bulgarian company MP Studio, which has won many international awards for illuminating sign buildings in Europe and around the world.
Among them are the facade of the Council of Ministers in Sofia, the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin and the Bolshoi Theater in Russia.
The soundtrack of the show includes performances from the newest album of the choir "The Mystery of the Bulgarian Voices" (Bucarest), whose world premiere was on May 25th.
The event was opened by the Minister of Culture Boil Banov and the Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to Italy Marin Raykov.
The Vice-President of the Italian Senate, Paola Taverna, and Carola Pena, President of the Commission for International Relations of Rome Municipality, were also welcomed at the meeting.
"I thank all of those who have worked so hard - both from the Bulgarian and the Italian side, to be here today in this unique, emblematic place not only for Rome but for the whole world, I would also like to thank you, dear audience, for that you have devoted a fraction of your time, your life to share a bit of our emotions - Bulgarian, our talents, culture, feelings of the world. It is my honor and pride to be here among you. "
With these words, the Minister of Culture Boil Banov welcomed the many audiences who gathered in front of the building of the Roman Municipality to see the unique light show.
