Over 6.57 Million Bulgarians Eligible to Vote on April 19

Bulgaria's Central Electoral Committee (CEC) warned that taking of photos in the polling stations is forbidden, reports the Darik national radio.
During an information campaign for the upcoming early elections this Sunday in the University of Mining and Geology in Sofia, Aleksander Andreev, spokesperson of CEC told the students that taking of selfies in the voting booth is strictly forbidden and if someone is caught doing it, their vote will be annulled.
“There are many people who wish to take photos of themselves voting, but this is considered by the law a proof that someone voted for such-and-such party and this is forbidden,” he said.
Bulgaria's largest party GERB and the Reformist Bloc have both taken a U-turn after initially saying they found it impossible to shake hands during the government consultations on Wednesday.
Bulgaria's Central Electoral Committee (CEC) fined the leader of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS) Lyutvi Mestan and MP Hyusein Hafsuzov for solicitation in foreign language, which is forbidden by law.
