“Lukoil-Neftohim” will launch in May two new installations for diesel fuel in Burgas, the Chair of the Managing Board of the refinery in the Black Sea city, Sergey Andronov informs.

Andronov further said Friday that the opening ceremony will attract prominent guests and firmly denied rumors the refinery will be relocated to Romania or any other Eastern European country.

In addition, the Chair announced that no one from the 2 200 workers will be laid off and the company is planning to invest BGN 1 B in a new plant and technology at the Burgas refinery. The plant will produce fuel with very low sulfur content and will provide 300 new jobs.

In addition to the 2 200 employees at the Lukoil site, another 6 000 from outside companies are carrying out renovation works and other services, Andronov says.
