Over 300 volunteers from 20 Bulgarian and foreign companies are taking part Saturday in "Volunteer Day."

The initiative is organized in the country for the fourth consecutive time by the American Chamber of Commerce and the “Bulgaria Charities Aid” Foundation. The goal is to bring together employees from different companies to volunteer at social housing centers and clean the environment.

In Sofia, the activities are taking place at several locations: the park in front of the municipal building in the “Mladost” district, the Vitosha Mountain Natural Park, the Sofia Zoo, the daycare centers for disabled children in the “Zaharna Fabrica” and “Mladost” districts and the medical childcare facility “St. Ivan Rilski.”

In addition to Sofia, volunteer actions are organized in the cities of Plovdiv, Pleven, Varna, Burgas and Blagoevgrad.
