BRUSSELS TO RELEASE USD 5 M FOR CONSULTANT ON DANUBE BRIDGE

Brussels is to grant some USD 5 M to the company consultant on the construction of Danube Bridge 2. The selection of the consultant is already underway, the Transport Ministry announced. The two main requirements are financial stability and experience in similar projects. The consultant will prepare the documents For the tender, which will be announced in the EU’s Official Journal within days. Offers may be submit within a month and a half after the announcement is published. The EUR 180 M project includes construction of the bridge, building a railway and road infrastructure. Danube Bridge 2 is expected to create some 980 jobs.
