Bulgaria and Romania are heading to NATO together, Bruce Jackson, US Congress NATO Committee Chairman, who is on a brief visit in Bulgaria, said. He urged Bulgarian politicians to speed up the military reform. According to him laws on the army reform, confidentiality of NATO secret information and protection of technologies should be priorities in the Cabinet’s program. The Alliance is prepareedt o admit seven countries in 2002, but they have to be prepared, he underlined. Jackson pointed out the significant progress that Romania has made in its military reform in the last year. During his visit Bruce Jackson had meeting with MPs of the opposition, Stanimir Ilchev, Chairmanof foreign policy parliamentary committee and Deputy Parliamentary Speaker Yunal Lyutfi.
