Bulgaria's loved composer, singer and poet Mihail Belchev gathered pop stars, friends and acquaintances to mark his 60th anniversary with a huge concert at the National Palace of Culture Tuesday evening.
The biggest hall at the building proved not big enough to provide seats for all fans that wanted to congratulate Belchev and hear his songs.
In his words the concert will seek to show that the Bulgarian song is live and marching ahead.
Michail Belchev has been on the stage for over 40 years. In 1996 he received the award "Golden Orpheus" for his artistic achievements. On the occasion of his 60th birthday Mihail Belchev was pronounced Honorary Citizen of the capital.
