Judo Champ, Models, Military Men in Bulgaria's 1st Survivor

Bulgaria's first Survivor reality show has gathered quite a mix of contestants with a judo champ, models, a librarian and a grandma in the 16 that were "stranded" on a Dominican island.

A man, who used to work for the communist state security agency, and a rabbit-breeding military pilot add an extra dash of challenge, for waitresses and office attendants may find catching up with their training hard.

Hints dropped from the crew of the show, however, state that women were much sturdier and more enduring than the men.

The first season of Survivor, produced by private bTV channel, now enters fierce competition with another reality show - the third edition of Big Brother, which airs about the same time on Nova TV.

The sixteen contestants will each have to prove their strength surviving the longest on a deserted island, where they will have to overcome nature, hunger, the lack of simple comforts and their own characters.
