Have you ever fantasized about a new generation of Bulgarian politicians, well-educated, efficient and adept in their public appearances? If yes, keep dreaming. In no, don't even bother to try imagining it. Bulgaria's Volen Siderov has seen enough media mocking already, and yet his interview for Der Standard shows he hasn't learn a basic lesson. To enjoy public approval and respect, a politician needs to prove he is a level-headed and sensible person. His party stormed the elections riding on the wave of nationalistic affects, but in the long run emotions are not everything. You cannot ask a foreign nation to shelter your own's Roma minority, and still be perceived as a trustworthy party leader, and lawmaker. But what is that can be done now, when it's apparent that many of our politicians are far more irritable and inefficient than they are supposed to be in a civilized society? Well, why not follow Stoitchkov's steps and go back to school? It's never too late to learn a lesson, plus everyone deserves a second chance...
