The town of Nessebar on the southern Bulgarian Black Sea coast continues to be in a state of emergency after torrential rains flooded hotels and ruined campsites over the weekend.

Disaster Management Minister Emel Etem announced that there was no need to declare a state of emergency over the whole district of Burgas.

The floods won't ruin the tourist season and no tourists have been injured, Etem said.

Minister Etem is embarking on a tour in the worst hit towns and cities in the district of Burgas, starting from Sozopol. The tour will help assess the damages incurred by the rains.

No casualties have been reported.
