In a manifesto, sent to the Editorial Staff of novinite.com, Francoise Woltz and Youriy Vodenitcharov appeal to all Bulgarians and all French and foreign friends of Bulgaria to assist in their initiative to set up a Bulgarian cultural center in Paris. “The lack of such a center gets even more impressive now when there is active cultural Bulgarian life in Paris, “ the statement reads. According to the initiators, there is a huge need for such a venture that would “contribute to the construction of a united Europe.” They request from all the people who would like to participate in the project to list their expectation for a Bulgarian cultural center in Paris as for example: books, exhibitions, meetings, folklore concerts, etc.
Woltz and Vodenitcharov who live in Paris have been working on promoting Bulgaria’s culture for a while. Woltz told novinite.com that she has initiated a site on Bulgaria since she “was bored of Bulgarians complaining of the lack of information as well as communication from the Embassy.” The address of the site is http:www.bulgaria-france.net.
She explained that the purpose of the site was to make Bulgaria popular. It gives profound information about Bulgaria’s history, the Bulgarian culture, etc. In the site, one can also find details concerning all events in France’s capital Paris, in which Bulgarian participation is involved.
