FINANCE MINISTER PRESENTS IT PRIORITIES TO LEADING COMPANIES IN NYC

Finance Minister Milen Velchev presented Bulgaria’s governmental program in the sphere of informational and telecommunications services to leading companies like Oracle Corporation and Intellibridge in the framework of the 2002 annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in New York. Finance Minister Velchev left for the World Economic Forum in NYC on January 29. Top corporate, political and religious leaders opened the World Economic Forum's annual meeting on January 31 in New York, guarded by barricades and thousands of police while discussing global business and security. The five-day meeting, moved to Manhattan after 31 years in the Swiss ski resort of Davos as a vote of confidence in the city after the Sept. 11 attacks, is being held in the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel just three miles from the ruins of the World Trade Center.
