Russian companies are interested in the privatization of the Bulgarian Telecommunications Company, the energy sector, and the banking sector, the economic adviser to the Russian Embassy in Bulgaria Anatolii Podsipanin told Darik Radio. The privatization of the thermo-electric plants solely is stimulating enough to attract Russian investors, according to Podsipanin. Interest toward the Bulgarian delegation in Moscow is huge, and nearly 200 representatives of Russian companies will attend a business meeting with the delegation in the Russian Chamber of Commerce, the Russian official pointed out. Sixty Bulgarian businessmen participate in the official delegation that accompanies Nikolay Vassilev, Deputy Prime Minister and Economy Minister during his visit to Russia. The businessmen will seek to boost trade in direct talks with Russian partners in Moscow. Deputy PM Nikolay Vassilev left on a three-day official visit to Moscow on January 20. Vassilev’s first meeting in Moscow was with representatives of Bulgarian companies operating in Russia. The meeting took place at the Bulgarian Industrial Center. “The contacts with Russia are very important for Bulgaria's future and for its economic development," Vassilev told the Bulgarian businessmen.
