NOBEL PRIZE WINNER AMONG NEW PRESIDENT'S ADVISORS

Jeoffrey Sachs remains advisor of the Bulgarian President on media issues, the new Bulgarian President Parvanov said while announcing his presidential team. Joseph Stiglits, Nobel Prize winner in 2001, Chief Economist of the World bank till 2000 and former advisor of ex US president Clinton will be advisor of the President on economic policies. Chavdar Kunchev, Stoyan Alexandrov and prof. Dimitur Ivanov will be members of the new Council on Economic Policy with the Presidency. Parvanov said that the situation with prince Kiril is “more delicate.” According to him, the son of the prime minister will be invited to cooperate but his position is very likely not to be formalized as an advisor position. Andrey Karaslavov will be appointed as Chief of Staff of the Cabinet of the President. The director of the “Protocol” Department will be Atanas Pavlov, Krassimir Stoyanov will be Chief Administrative secretary. Parvanov establishes a special group for analysis and prognosis, headed by Dobrin Kanev. Parvanov explained that the members of the presidential team had been elected according to their professional experience and personal skills.
