Cabinet fixed buying prices for the electricity generated by Maritza Iztok (Maritza East) units one and three, for which it approved finalisation of the deals with the US American Electricity Systems (AES) and Entergy. Initially the National Electricity Company (NEK) will purchase the electricity at $0.03 from Entergy and at $0.044 from AES. During the period when the two companies are repaying their credits the price will be up by between $0.001 and $0.004. In the next period the price will be up to $0.044 while the US companies insisted on $0.046, Ivan Shiliashki, NEK CEO, said.
