It is granted at the suggestion of the State Refugee Agency when groups of refugees cross the border. The status provides for temporary protection and is to be approved by the Cabinet. The Bill envisages the present Refugee Agency to turn into State Refugee Agency. It is to be funded by the state budget, its headquarters will be in Sofia with divisions in the country.
