Bulgarian Foreign Minister Passy had a working meeting with influential representatives of the Greek community in the United States on December 5 during his visit in Washington. The Greek Ambassador to the United States also attended the meeting. Initiator of the meeting was the Greek Foreign Minister Georgios Papandreou. This confirmed his determination to popularize Bulgaria’s positions in the United States. Minister Passy had also meetings with the George Voinovich, member of the Commission on foreign policy with the American Senate. He expressed the support Bulgaria will receive from the United States on its way to NATO accession. The Bulgarian Minister on his part assured the Senator in the continuity in Bulgaria’s foreign policy.
