PRESIDENT ELECT TO BE CONSULTED ON SECURITY CHIEF APPOINTMENT

Interior Minister Petkanov said that he will consult President elect on the appointment of new National Security Service Director at a meeting next week. Petkanov expressed his conviction that Prime Minister Saxe-Coburg, President-elect Parvanov and incumbent President Stoyanov's stands on the issue should be considered before a decision is taken. The minister reiterated that he will prepare two or three nominations. In case that there is no consensus on a particular candidature, Petkanov said that he will wait for the ainauguration of Parvanov for President.
