Bulgaria’s membership in NATO used to be a dream, now it turns into reality, Foreign Minister Passy said in his address to the 11th annual symposium on the NATO enlargement, organized by the Greek Association for Atlantic and European Cooperation. He added that Bulgaria is a free country in which political consensus exists. According to Passy, the fact that Bulgaria entered the anti-terrorist conventions shows that the country is an inseparable member of the Euro-Atlantic family. “The friendship with Greece will become stronger after Bulgaria enters NATO and EU,” Foreign Minister Passy told Greek Parliament Speaker Apostolos Kaklamanis. Passy expressed his gratitude for the Greek support for Bulgaria’s membership in NATO and EU. With the meeting with Kaklamanis, Passy’s two-day visit to Greece ended.
