The international rating agency S&P raised the long-term credit ratings of three Bulgarian banks. The banks are Bulbank, United Bulgarian Bank (UBB) and Municipal Bank. Bulbank’s and UBB’s ratings were increased from B+ to BB-, and the Municipal Bank’s rating from B to B+. The three banks’ perspective evaluation was changed from positive to stable. The agency explained its decision with the positive development of Bulgarian bank sector in the last years. The stable economic growth in the country as well as the big interest rates margin are favorable factors for our banks, S&P points out.
