Russia's Metrovagonmash will supply Sofia subway with six trains of rustproof steel, as Sofia Mayor Stefan Sofianski and representatives from the company signed the contract on Tuesday.

The joint stock Metrovagonmash competed with three other companies for the contract and won with the lowest price offered.

The supply of subway trains is scheduled to take place within two years.
