Stilian Petrov could be set to clash with Celtic boss Martin O'Neill over the dates of Bulgaria's friendly fixtures this season, according to Scottish press reports.
Petrov's national coach Hristo Stoitchkov wants to play games in November, December, January and February. The Barcelona legend is even considering taking his team to play in the Gold Cup in the United States at the start of next year.
However, Celtic has key SPL and Champions League matches during those months and O'Neill may be unwilling to let his star midfielder go, Glasgow's Evening Times said.
Earlier Bulgarian national coach said he hoped to have Stan for friendlies in November and December and even planned to go to Glasgow to speak to the O'Neill.
