Business | November 18, 2001, Sunday // 00:00

The Council of Creditors of the national carrier Balkan decided at its meeting to make a new assessment of the companies’ assets. The assessment will be the basis for a future rehabilitation plan of the company. The assessment is required by law because of the appointment of new permanent receivers of Balkan Airlines. At a meeting with Lufthansa representatives, the Balkan receivers reviewed the offer for leasing two airplanes “Boing 737 –300.” Flights to Brussels and Zurich are expected to take place with these airplanes. Balkan signed a cooperation contract with the Austrian Airlines, and the Swiss airline “Cross Air.”
