A major exhibition featuring 3,000 Thracian pieces from Bulgaria will open in Germany Thursday.
The unique treasures of Rogozen, Panagyurishte and Valchitran will be among the main attractions in the event, which is Bulgaria's largest archaeological exhibition abroad. The Germans will be able to see exclusive frescoes and precious tableware made of gold, as well as numerous other items that are emblematical for the Thracian culture.
The Rogozen treasure alone consists of 165 vessels, collected by several generations from the middle of the fifth century until the middle of fourth century BC.
Germany will pay EUR 110,000 to Bulgaria for sending them the priceless collection.
The exhibition will be opened in Bon by Bulgaria's President, Georgi Parvanov.
