A radioactive container was found in a private home in the village of Vladaya, several kilometers to the southwest of Sofia. There is no risk for exposure for local people, the Committee for Peaceful Uses of Atomic Energy (CPUAE) announced. An inspection by CPUAE found that it was a transport container produced in the former Soviet Union and designed to take cesium-137 for gama-defectoscopic purposes or for control equipment. The inscriptions and serial numbers of the body of the container have been deleted except the warning "Attention! Radioactive!"
