“My success at the presidential elections will be the beginning of a new just, social and left-oriented governance,” Georgi Purvanov, candidate president and leader of the Bulgarian Socialist Party, said at a press conference in Varna on October 27. According to him the outcome of the presidential elections on November 11 could increase the left-wing parties’ role on the political scene in Bulgaria. “The next Cabinet will be center-right, no matter whether there are early parliamentary elections or not,’ he said. Purvanov expects two rounds at the presidential elections and believes that the people will vote for the alternative candidate presidential couple. He confirmed that the preelection debate Stoyanov – Kutskova and Purvanov-Marin would take place on November 8 at the National Palace of Culture in Sofia. The two preelection headquarters were currently negotiating the details.
