Three of the Bulgarian soldiers that were wounded in the December 27 Karbala attacks will be released from hospital on Wednesday, director of the Military-Medical Academy Brigadier-General Stoyan Tonev said Tuesday.
The plane that carried the bodies of the five killed soldiers to Sofia also brought 18 who were wounded, other two who are in a shock after the bombings, and another two returning due to personal reasons.
The airplane landed about 02:30 a.m. at Sofia Airport, where five ambulances and a bus waited for the wounded soldiers to take them to the Military-Medical Academy in the Bulgarian capital. On of the ambulances, which took those who were in worst condition, left earlier than the other vehicles.
Seven of the soldiers suffer the most serious injuries, but their lives are not at risk, Brigadier-General Tonev said.
