Stilian Petrov, captain of the national team and Scotland's Celtic-player, was named Bulgaria's 2003 Best Footballer. Petrov gained 245 in an enquiry carried out among 139 Bulgarian sports journalists.

Bulgaria's 2002 Best Footballer Dimitar Berbatov was ranked second with 195, while Martin Petrov occupied the 3rd place with 79 points.

The coach of the national team Plamen Markov was appointed for the country's best trainer in 2003.

According to the poll, Bulgaria's top ten football players for 2003 are:
