Politics | December 6, 2003, Saturday // 00:00

We all see that Bulgaria's Cabinet is either unable or unwilling to fight crime in the country, former Bulgarian Prime Minister Ivan Kostov told in an interview for the TV channel Nova Televisia.

He also added that his Cabinet acknowledged the crime in the country for phenomena and tried to cope with it. In Kostov's opinion current Interior Minister Georgi Petkanov should pinpoint the main enemy now.

The former Bulgarian prime minister also explained that as he sees it the ruling coalition in Bulgaria is no longer supported by the people. We have a government and a majority that are incapable to complete the judicial power reforms as well as the reforms in other important areas, Kostov added.

He also said that the political system in Bulgaria is falling apart.
