`The Constitutional Court is one of the greatest achievements of Bulgarian democracy,` President Peter Stoyanov told a cocktail party on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Bulgarian Constitutional Court. The Constitutional Court President Hristo Danov told a news conference that between 1936 and 1991 the Bulgarian system of government was monocratic and the constitutions of that period were actually violated. `The Constitutional Court is an autonomous, independent state body. No other state body has ever exerted pressure on the Court,` Danov said.
