Parliament Shows Photos from the Beautiful Bulgaria Project

An exhibition of photographs showing objects restored as part of the Beautiful Bulgaria project was opened in the Bulgarian parliament Wednesday.

The project was launched 1997 by the country's Social Ministry. The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) also backed the idea for creating new jobs and simultaneously renovating old buildings in cities of more than 100 Bulgarian municipalities. More than 10,000 jobless were also appointed for the implementation of the project so far.

Bulgaria's Deputy Parliamentary Speaker Kamelia Kasabova opened the exhibition and newly appointed Social Minister Hristina Hristova also joined the event.
