Unknown gunmen shot dead a Syrian national in Sofia at about 3 a.m, police said.
The victim, 39, has been shot three times in the head and the chest near a pizza restaurant in Sofia's district of Nadezhda, while parking his car.
He has been found by his wife, also a Syrian national.
Four years ago, in 1999, the man has been registered by the Interior Ministry on charges of pirate CDs distribution.
Police does not rule out the version for the murder to be involvement in amphetamine trafficking channel to the Arab countries.
An investigation into the murder has been launched.
