`The delegates to the 3rd conference of the Sinaya initiative condemn the acts of terrorism and violence and confirm the conviction of the mason brotherhood to cooperate with all people in the world in the name of peace and harmony, a Masonic declaration reads. The declaration was voted in connection with the tragic events that took place in New York and Washington September 11. The Sinaya initiative started in February 2000 in Romania. Masons from nine European countries participated in the conference in Sinaya, Romania. Delegates from Austria, Germany, Greece, Moldova, Poland, Croatia, Romania, Russia, Slovenia, Turkey, Switzerland, Yugoslavia and Bulgaria attended the conference. The main goal of the Sinaya initiative is to assist the establishment of closer ties and cooperation between younger and older masons in Europe.
