Bulgaria: When Politics Means Violence

In different countries, people meet grim fates: some fall from balconies, others vanish without a trace, some end up in prison - and in the United States, politicians are sometimes shot in public.

In a country where four former sitting presidents, one current president, two presidential candidates, and dozens of other prominent politicians have been shot or killed, yet another assassination barely registers; it changes nothing...This is simply the way things are there.

This is just the logic of how society functions in this place. And anyone who ignores it or tries to change it becomes a victim. They are incapable of communicating with each other without extreme emotion and without firing bullets.

That's why you don't look to the West, you don't look to the East, nor to the North and South. When you wonder how to bring order to your own country, you don't bring in general models, because their logic doesn't work in your reality and your logic doesn't work in theirs.
