Inside Bulgaria's Easter Celebrations: Traditions Passed Through Generations
Today marks the joyous celebration of Easter, one of the most significant holidays in the Orthodox Christian calendar.
President Rumen Radev will convene the National Assembly in accordance with the term laid down in the Constitution and after the Central Election Commission (CEC) has published the names of the elected Members of the National Assembly in the State Gazette. This was reported by the press office of the head of state, quoted by Focus.
"On the agenda of our society is the question of whether the parliamentary parties can form a government under the relevant constitutional procedure. Otherwise, the National Assembly will be dissolved, and without a functioning parliament it is inconceivable to implement constitutional changes", Rumen Radev said in a statement on this occasion.
"The President has repeatedly stated that he is fully responsible for his power to propose amendments to the Constitution, but he has stressed that this is an extremely important issue and changes to the basic law must have a long-term perspective and should not become a means of someone's political survival," the head of state's press office said.
