In the past 24 hours 4,201 new coronavirus-infected people have been registered after 17,652 tests. That means nearly 24% of tests were positive.
Yesterday, 136 people have died, data from the Single Information Portal show. A total of 11,715 people with coronavirus have died in our country since the beginning of the pandemic.
The active cases as of March 18 were 49,597. Of those, 7,804 people were hospitalized, including 609 in intensive care.
The most cases were established in the capital Sofia - 1097, Varna - 305, Burgas - 291, Plovdiv 263. More than 100 are also cases in the districts: Sofia region - 167, Stara Zagora 157, Pleven - 149, Blagoevgrad - 134, Ruse - 124, Shumen - 123, Vratsa - 122, Haskovo 113, Silistra - 112, Pernik - 106, Dobrich - 105.

In 24 hours 1,641 people with a positive coronavirus test have recovere. The total number of cured is 230,457.
Since the beginning of the vaccination campaign, 350,702 doses of vaccine have been administered in Bulgaria, 4,708 of them in the last 24 hours.
By March 18, 291,769 confirmed cases of infection in Bulgaria since the outbreak of the epidemic in March 2020.
