Bulgaria: Ex-PM Boyko Borissov has been Detained by Police
Large-scale operation of the General Directorate of the National Police on 120 cases of misuse of EU funds.
Bulgarian PM Boyko Borissov posted this news on his Facebook page:
“Europe and the world are facing bad crisis, meanwhile the industrial production in Bulgaria is growing. In September, Eurostat recorded a 2,3% increase of industrial production set against August 2020.
In the entire EU only Czech Republic, Denmark, Poland and Slovakia boast more considerable growth,” PM Boyko Borisov wrote on his profile page in Facebook adding a link to Eurostat statistical data.
“Apart from that the industrial production in Bulgaria has been on the rise for five consecutive months now. This positive trend is registered against the backdrop of an unprecedented global crisis. The industrial production in the entire European Union is stagnating, as in the Eurozone countries the situation is deteriorating.

We have been building roads and industrial enterprises while some power hungry politicians were thinking about snap elections we were thinking about the Bulgarian people. The European statistics testifies to that. Thanks to the rapid reorganization the pressure over the health system has been eased. I am sure that medics will cope with the situation. I and the government will help the country to overcome the crisis. Judging by the statistical data we are obviously on the right track,” Borisov concluded his post.
